A girl friend and I were discussing my latest story. My lab rat has commented several times that often she needs a blow to the head with a baseball bat to get the point. Was this story blunt enough to satisfy her? My friend’s response was this.
“You, (as the author) have to give the reader the bat so they can pick it up and hit themselves.”
She is so right and I am editing with that quote in mind!
